ParkLake announces advanced construction state

ParkLake, the EUR 180 million shopping mall developed by Sonae Sierra and Caelum Development in Bucharest’s District 3, announced that construction work is continuing and that structural building is now “in advanced state”. With about 2,000 workers hired on the building site, the mall is expected to create another 2,000 new working spots once it opens, says Ingo Nisson, managing director for Sonae Sierra.

ParkLake will cover some 70,000 sqm (GLA) and it will open in 2016. It will have some 200 stores and about 70 percent of its surface has been pre-leased, according to company representatives. Future tenants will include a Cora hypermarket (15,000 sqm), a Cinema City multiplex, 23 restaurants and fashion retailers like H&M, Mango, Zara, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and Bershka.

The shopping mall will be located on the Liviu Rebreanu Blvd and will serve a primary catchment area of half a million inhabitants.
