Over 7,000 new apartments to be delivered this year in Bucharest, says Coldwell Banker

A total of over 7,000 new apartments will be delivered this year in Bucharest and the surrounding area, a volume higher than the one reported during the boom years, estimates real estate consultancy firm Coldwell Banker. Some 30 percent of these apartments are located in small-sized residential projects which comprise 30 apartments on average.

“The apartments delivered this year are much better adapted to the present demand and many of them have already been sold. There will be developers who will report poor results but with a good pricing strategy and a professional sales team one can see satisfactory results as there is demand,” said Valentin Ilie, CEO Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania.

The Coldwell Banker agencies sold some 1,000 new apartments this year, in Bucharest and the surrounding areas, a volume higher by approximately 30 percent against the previous year, according to company data.
