The 5th edition of the Sound of Music season at the Peles Castle, event organized by ExcesMusic and Peles National Museum continues with the first Organ Festival occasioned by the recent restoration of the historic instrument in the castle’s music hall.

Recitals will be performed by soprano Veronica Anusca and organist Mihai Murariu on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 4 o’clock, respectively by violinist Ladislau Csendes and by organist Remus Henning, on Sunday June 7, 2015, at 12 o’clock.

The Peles Castle’s organ was built in 1904 by Rieger Company. In the archives there are pictures of Queen Elizabeth with the organ and of George Enescu with the violin. Queen Elizabeth of Romania, Carmen Sylva, was the one to have stirred the young musician interest in the organ.

Soprano Veronica Anusca and pianist Mihai Murariu began collaborating about three years ago and since then they held numerous recitals and were awarded at various contests.

The two will play opuses by: J.S. Bach, Al. Stradella, V. Bellini, J. Pachelbel, W.A. Mozart and G. Rossini.
