Sorana Baciu, OMV Petrom’s strategy director for the last seven years, has left the company four months ago to start a new consultancy business (Acgenio) aimed at SME’s, writes zf.ro.
“Petrom represented an important step in career, full of achievements. I gathered a lot of experience in fields such as strategy development, management of change and increasing organisation performance. This experience, combined with the one I already had in finance, gives me the opportunity to be of help for people in Romania and in the region that want to improve their performance and obtain financing. I’ve always been drawn to challenges and I’ve decided to found a consultancy firm in the field”, says Sorana Baciu.
Baciu is a graduate of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) where she holds a masters degree in International Economic Relations. She also graudated a masters programe in management at McGill University in Canada.
Throughout her career, Sorana Baciu has worked for ING (1997-2001 and 2002-2004) and also for Porsche Bank Romania where she was deputy general manager for four years.
