The National Day of The People’s Republic of China was celebrated on October 1 at the Chinese embassy in Bucharest in the presence of Her Excellency Huo Yuzhen, Chinese ambassador to Romania, Victor Ponta, Romanian Prime-Minister , Crin Antonescu, President of the Romanian Senate and Valeriu Zgonea, President of the Deputies’ Chamber.
The reception was also attended by members of the government such as Titus Corlatean, the minister of External Affairs, Mircea Dusa, the minister of Defense, Maria Grapini, the minister for SMEs, Business and Tourism, Daniel Constantin, the minister of Agriculture and Doina Pana, delegate minister for social dialogue.
During the event, the Chinese ambassador said a Chinese private energy company may soon be making investments in Romania. “It is a private energy company and they have reached an agreement with the Romanian companies to start a project in the energy field in Romania,” said the Chinese ambassador.
