Musat & Asociatii law firm makes management and team acquisitions

Musat & Asociatii has promoted Angela Mare and Paul Buta as partners, a company press release shows. Thus, the team now has 21 partners and over 100 attorneys, fiscal consultants and practitioners in restructuring and insolvency.

Angela Mare has been a long standing member of the Musat & Asociatii team of lawyers, with a professional experience of over 16 years. Her area of expertise includes civil and commercial litigation, administrative and litigation regarding the capital market and procurement. During her career as litigator, Angela Mare represented a diverse portfolio of national and international companies before the courts in Romania.

Paul Buta, Doctor of Law and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law “Nicolae Titulescu” has a legal experience of over 10 years, specializing in civil and commercial litigation and also in competition law and intellectual property. He was involved in large cases, providing legal assistance to a significant portfolio of international clients (mainly foreign investors and multinationals) on sector-specific competition issues, intellectual property, and regulations in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. Paul Buta is also recognized for his expertise in tax litigation and international arbitration.

At the same time, three attorneys specializing in different practice areas were promoted to “Managing Associates”, while eight others were promoted to “Senior Associates”. The law firm was recently joined by 15 new lawyers, of which three are definitive members, while 12 are lawyers in training.

Three associates of the company, Miruna Suciu, Luminita Popa and Madalin Berechet, have decided to withdraw from association with the firm, in order to operate on their own in some other form of profession exercise, together with collaborator of the company, Cleopatra Leahu.
