Murfatlar wins grand award for Romania at international wine competition

The special “Vinitaly 2014 Nation Award” this year goes to Italy (Cantine Due Palme Soc. Coop. Agricola – Cellino San Marco), Germany (Divine Nordheim Thüngersheim EG – Nordheim-Bayern) and Romania (Murfatlar Romania S.A. – Murfatlar).

With 73 medals assigned out of nearly 3,000 wines officially entered for the competition, the 21st Vinitaly International Wine Competition was held at Veronafiere 27-31 March.

The Special “Vinitaly Nation 2014” Award is given to the producer from each country that achieves the highest score calculated as the sum of assessments for the best three wines earning “Special Mention” diplomas.

The wines winning awards in the 21st International Wine Competition will be allowed to use a special label highlighting this fact.
