Mohammad Murad wants to launch business and lifestyle TV station in Romania

Mohammad Murad, one of the largest hotel owners in the Romanian market, wants to launch a business and lifestyle TV station in Romania, with a license request being analyzed today (January 28) by the National Audiovisual Council CNA.

According to CNA’s agenda for today’s meeting, M&M Channel SRL Bucuresti requested an audiovisual license for the TV station Life TV.

Sources from the media told local news agency Mediafax that the new TV station will have a “thematic profile, of business and business lifestyle”. M&M Channel SRL is headquartered in Bucharest and was registered at the National Trade Register Office in 2013.

Mohammad Murad is one of the biggest hotel owners in Romania, claiming many properties in Bucharest and on the seaside. Besides the Phoenicia Hotel chain, Murad owns restaurant chain SpringTime and the Mandy can factory. At the same time, Murad has a partnership in the media with business TV station The Money Channel, under Realitatea Media SA’s licence. CNA approved The Money Channel’s switch in programming in April 30. Currently, the TV station operates out of a building owned by Murad, who also handles the station’s financing
