The Romanian operations of Menzies Aviation have been strengthened after Menzies Romania has merged through absorption with two of its local subsidiaries Menzies Aviation Transilvania and Menzies Aviation Timisoara, in a deal completed earlier this year.
Menzies Romania, part of the Menzies Aviation group that specializes in passenger, ramp and cargo handling services, said the merger will help it improve operations and support investments.
Law firm Zamfirescu Racoti Predoiu (ZRP) and the fiscal consultancy ZRP Tax assisted Menzies Romania in the merger.
“The companies field of activity was the main challenge of this merger: it was necessary to carefully consider the possibility of transferring existing licenses held by the absorbed companies to the absorber as well as the possible difficulties in obtaining permits on time, in order not to disrupt the merger,” said Anca Danilescu, ZRP associate, who coordinated the merger along with Ioana Hoeckl, partner at ZRP Tax.
The team of ZRP consultants that worked on the deal also included Iuliana Negoita, senior associate, and Daniela Zar, tax senior manager.
