Mega Image, part of Belgian retailer Delhaize Group, opened three new stores in Bucharest this week and reached 370 supermarkets in Romania, the company said Friday.
On Tuesday, Mega Image Giurgiului 2 was opened with a surface of 735 square meters. A day later, Mega Image George Valsan opened for business in district 6, with a total sales surface of approximately 380 square meters.
On Friday, the Belgian retailer opened a new Shop&Go unit on Murguta street, also in district 6, with a total sales surface of 91 square meters.
“Mega Image constantly pushes its expansion, reaching a total of 370 stores and acquires more of the proximity market”, according to a press release from the company.
The Mega Image network had several landmark moments in 2014, after reaching 300 stores in March and 350 in September after acquiring the Angst chain in August.
