Marilena Barliga takes over marketing and product development for Provident

Consumer credit company Provident Financial Romania announced the appointment of Marilena Barliga as head of marketing and product development departments.

With a professional experience of over 11 years in strategic marketing and a portfolio of campaigns awarded at the biggest competitions of advertising in Romania (Effie, Internetics and IAB MIXX Awards), Marilena Barliga moves from the position of senior marketing manager to head of marketing. In the new position, she will be responsible for defining and implementing marketing and communication strategies, along with coordination of product development.

Barliga has occupied for the past eight years several management positions in the marketing department of Providence, coordinating among others the Provident repositioning campaign in Romania, launched in 2013 under the slogan “When it is important for you” and launching online communication initiatives such as Providentistii and Autodenunt.

Provident Financial Romania is a non-banking financial institution, part of the British group International Personal Finance. The group has 2.6 million customers in seven countries in Central and Eastern Europe – Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary – and Mexico. The company employs 850 in Romania and collaborates with 3,700 independent agents in 80 cities across the country.
