Starting May 2013, Lorand Balint has become the new managing director of Leo Burnett & Target, with a mission to develop the agency’s growth strategy, especially in the new business area, and consolidate the business on new communication trends.
Balint has worked for 13 years in advertising and communications, having started his career in advertising in 2000 as strategic planner at BBDO.
Afterwards, he joined Leo Burnett & Target, where he worked in various management positions such as as regional communications manager Balkans, regional communications manager Europe, global communications manager, regional communications Sub-Saharian Africa, group communications director Balkans, head of brand communication, global communications director and chief digital officer. In October 2012, he became strategy director in Publicis.
Balint studied at Universiteit Antwerpen, Institute of Leadership & Management UK and Universite de Montreal – HEC Montreal.
He also has graduated from marketing studies at the Academy of Economic Studies and obtained a master’s in advertising from the Bucharest University.
He is an associate professor in the Romanian-Canadian MBA and partner in Platypus Group.
