Lafarge Romania’s CEO gets promoted to group level

Sonia Artinian, the CEO of Lafarge Romania, has been appointed executive VP organization and HR in the group’s executive committee, taking over for Eric Olsen who has decided to retire, the cement manufacturer has announced.

Artinian joined the company in 2008 as first vice-president in the organizational development department. In 2012 she was appointed CEO of Lafarge Romania, replacing Philippe Questiaux.  Before joining Lafarge she worked at Capgemini Consulting where she began her career in 1995. Her last position there was associate director.

A French citizen, she graduated from the Ecole nationale de genie rural des eaux et forêts and Ecole Normale Supsrieure de Lyon.
