Koton will reopen on Friday the store in Bucharest Mall after it was extended to an area of 1.640 sqm and following an investment of over EUR 500,000. This will be the Turkish fashion retailer’s largest unit in Romania.
The retailer plans to increase the turnover per square meter by 37 percent and the average monthly turnover by 3.2 times, stated Koton’s general manager Burak Akbulut, according to Mediafax.
The store in Bucharest Mall is the first one opened by Koton in Romania in 2007. Two new Koton stores are to be opened this spring in Iasi (1,800 sqm) and Timisoara (1,200 sqm), being a premiere on these markets after Bucharest and Ploiesti.
Koton was established in 1988 in Istanbul and now has 4,600 employees and 377 stores in 25 countries.
