King Mihai of Romania to be celebrated in United Kingdom

King Mihai is in London to attend celebrations marking 75 years since he received the Royal Victorian Order – Grand Cross honor. From November 6 to 8, King Michael I makes this visit together with Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu. Alongside with King Mihai, Princess Elena, with her daughter, Elizabeth Karina will be present.

During this official visit, Princess Margareta and Prince Radu took part in the International Red Cross Annual Gala, an event that is organized under their patronage this year. On Wednesday, King Mihai I will meet with the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. On Wednesday evening, King Mihai, Princess Margareta, Prince Radu, Princess Elena and Karina Elizabeth will attend an official dinner offered by traditional guilds of London, at Wax Chandlers Hall, one of the historical monuments of the British capital.

On Thursday, the Romanian royal family will attend a religious service in the Savoy Royal Chapel, in the Royal Victorian Order headquarter. The ceremony will be held in the honor of King Mihai and will be led by the chaplain of Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Victorian Order chaplain, the Rev. Professor Galloway. Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will also be present at the event, as will  representatives of Queen Elizabeth, and members of the British Government, London city officials, members of the diplomacy, personalities from the business world and civil society in the UK.
