The 49th KFC restaurant in Romania will be opened this Thursday in Baia Mare, north-western Romania. The restaurant’s sales for the first year of activity are expected to reach approximately EUR 700,000 said company representatives.
The outlet is located on the grounds of the Gold Plaza shopping center, covers 171 sqm and has 25 employees.
“The opening in Baia Mare represents the 49th restaurant in Romania and the first in the region of Maramures (…). It is part of KFC’s expansion strategy for Romania and over the next period we want to maintain this upward trend,” said Monica Eftimie, marketing director KFC Romania.
The KFC franchise for Romania is owned by local company US Food Network. The first local KFC restaurant was opened in 1997.
