BRAT (The Romanian Bureau for Cross-media Auditing) announced it will continue the collaboration with Kantar Media Spring, after the latter won the public tender for carrying out the SATI (The Survey of Internet Audience and Traffic), the only acknowledged tool for measuring and evaluating performance in the Romanian online.

Following the tender, Kantar Media Spring will continue to carry out SATI for the eighth year in a row.

The other contenders in the tender were Gemius and GfK Nurago.

“The board decided to continue the collaboration with Kantar Media Spring, which has been carrying out SATI for the past seven years. The main reason for this choice was the evaluation of the methodology used by the company, an innovative methodology in the internet seven years ago, which proved in time one of the most fitting tools to measure the online. The methodology proposed by Kantar Media Spring was validated in Romania and is currently used in several European countries, such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland. Recent experience has proven that the methodology used by Kantar Media Spring ensures a high research standard which we will consolidate and improve over the next three years,” said Arina Ureche, general manager BRAT.

Over the next three years, SATI will deliver a complete image of internet usage in Romania by expanding the scope at the study at national level, to also include rural areas.

BRAT measures the readership of print and online media, the number of copies issued by print publications, the advertising investments in the print media, online, radio and OOH.

SATI was launched seven years ago and offers data on over 300 websites and mobile sites, depending on criteria such as traffic, readership, socio-demographic factors, streaming or advertising monitoring.
