Jazz at Bran Castle Festival due to happen this weekend

Although Garana Jazz Festival is known as the first event of this kind in south-eastern Europe, Bran is now making a name on the national jazz scene. Not only jazz, but both contemporary and classical projects are performed, many as a premiere. The event is taking place in Bran Castle’s interior castle and in the Evangelic Church in Rasnov. 19:00 – Bran Castle – Trygve Seim (NO) – tenor and soprano saxophonist, Andreas Utnem (NO) – piano, Paolo Vinaccia (IT) – drums and percussion, Palle Mikkelborg (DK) – trumpet,
Carsten Dahl (DK) – piano, Helen Davies (DK) – harp.

Saturday, August 30
12:00 – Evangelic Church Rasnov: Trygve Seim (NO) – tenor and soprano saxophonist, Andreas Utnem (NO) – organ

19:00 – Paolo Angeli (IT) – guitar, effects, voice, Nils Petter Molvaer “Switch” 2014, Geir Sundstol (NO) – guitar, Jo Berger Myhre (NO) – bass, Erland Dahlen (NO) – drums.

Sunday, August 31
19:00 – Mathias Eick (NO) – trumpet, Daniele Di Bonaventura (IT) – piaon, bandoneon, Paolo Vinaccia (IT) – drums, percussion

20:30 – Vincent Peirani (FR) – accordion, Emile Parisien (FR) – saxophone.
