iQuest, specialized in tailored software services and solutions for the business segment, opened an office in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, six months ago, to cater for several clients that it already has on the American market.

At the moment, iQuest does not have a team permanently based in Silicon Valley, but as the company acquires more clients, it is considering this as well. “For now, we have people from Cluj or Brasov who go there and work for several months,” said Cornelius Brody, CEO iQuest.

iQuest now has 4 clients on the U.S. market, among which a big telecom company, a financial-banking institution and a media firm.

This year’s turnover forecast for iQuest is EUR 19 million, up 20 percent or more on the previous year. Most of the revenues of the company (90 percent) come from projects delivered to companies in Western Europe, especially Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries.

iQuest has at the moment a total headcount of 450 employees involved in the company’s projects in areas such as telecom, life sciences, and retail. The company has regional development centers in Brasov, Cluj-Napoca and Sibiu. In 2013 the company will hire 40 more people in Brasov, who are specialized in Java, .NET and SharePoint technologies.
