ICEEfest: Facebook CEE head tells brands to “build reach on the beach”

During the first day of ICEEfest (Interactive Central & Eastern Europe Festival), Marcin Brus, Facebook head of the CEE region, shared some insight into the way of using Facebook for growing brands.

  • There is no future for marketers who don’t understand the power of the tools where consumers spend their time
  • The newsfeed on Facebook is the most personalized personal newspaper. We are looking for three kinds of content in our newsfeed: people- because we are social animals, the things we care about, and the brands, which are an important part of our life and status.
  • Ground rules for Facebook marketing: Be Authentic, Be Useful, Be Entertaining, Be Relevant, Listen, Be Timely- build reach on the beach
  • 39 percent of people admit to using smartphones while on the toilet. 42 percent use it at dinner
