HR Club announces Awards Gala winners

The Romanian HR community recognized and awarded excellence in people management at the fifth Excellence Awards Gala that has been organized by the HR Professionals Associations in Romania (HR Club) earlier this month.

With a total of 55 nominees, the HR Community granted 10 awards for HR Management projects and Top Management. The industries that submitted a large share of the projects were banking, insurance, and IT&C.

The projects were assessed by two types of juries that awarded scores for every established criteria. A first jury comprising senior HR professionals made by the first selection, followed by a second jury of CEOs that decided the winner from a shortlist.

In Recruitment and Selection, the grand prize went to Zentiva for its ZENTIVA Express program. Coca-Cola HBC Romania was finalist with its Destination: management initiative.

UniCredit Leasing Corporation IFN won in the Compensation and Benefits category for The Health Month program. Zentiva was finalist for !NVENT!CA – the Creativity Laboratory initiative.

TenarisSilcotub snapped the Performance Management award for connecting 1,200  employees to the company’s performance.

The winner in Talent Management was Orange Romania for its Acceleration Lab program.

ArcelorMittal Galati received the grant prize in Training and Development for ACT 2 (Act Constantly for Transformation). The finalists were Junior Achievement Romania for Professional Success program and TenarisSilcotub for its initiative Internal Trainers – key resource for development.

ING Asigurari de Viata si Pensii won in the HR Strategy category for the Employer Value Proposition program. Orange Romania was finalists with the Brand you work for – the brand clients buy.

Coca-Cola HBC Romania won in the Organization Culture & Engagement category for the initiative Cultural transformation through value. Finalists were Cetelem for the Story behind the photo program and Orange Romanian for Engagement@orange.ro.

The Line manager of the year was named Marinela Guina – National Field Director at Grup Sapte.

Simona Nicolaescu, founder of the Dynamic Human Resources Grup won the Entrepreneur of the year award.

The General Manager of the year award went to Antoaneta Curteanu, CEO UniCredit Leasing Corporation.

A Jury Special Award went to the project implemented by Junior Achievement Romania.

The event was attended by over 230 HR Directors and specialists, CEOs and business leaders or major companies active in Romania.
