Romanian tennis Player Horia Tecau and his Dutch doubles partner Jean-Julien Roher won their seventh title of the year at the China Open in Beijing, writes atpworldtour.com.
The duo edged fourth seeds Julien Benneteau and Vasek Pospisil 6-7(6), 7-5, 10-5 in one hour and 49 minutes.
Rojer and Tecau won their second title in a row, having triumphed at the Shenzhen Open last week, and will look to complete the China sweep in Shanghai. This year they have also walked away with the grand trophies at Zagreb, Casablanca, Bucharest, ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Washington.
“I’m excited,” said Tecau. “Besides the two titles, we’ve been playing well. We were looking at these two weeks in China as good for us, good conditions that suit our game. We’re happy we were able to execute and get two titles. Hopefully we can keep it up for another week.”
Rojer and Tecau are currently sixth in the year-to-date standings, with the top eight teams at the end of the regular season qualifying for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
