The general director of the Bucharest subway operator Metrorex, Gheorghe Udriste (pictured), has been replaced by Gabriel Constantin Sburlan who will serve as interim. Sburlan has previously held the director of operations position within the company.

Udriste has been general director since 2009 and he also had another term at the helm of Metrorex between 1997 and 2001. He will not leave the company as he was appointed director of investments and public acquisitions.

State-owned Metrorex is one of the companies for which the government must appoint private management, as previously agreed with IMF.
