Green Group forecasts EUR 160 mln in turnover for 2015 and opens new plant

Green Group, formed of companies activating in waste recycling, estimates that it will register EUR 160 million in turnover in 2015, up by 6.6 percent against 2014, and aims to open a new plant.

Last year, Green Group registered EUR 150 million in turnover and in 2013, EUR 133 million.

“We estimate that the recyclable waste market (before the recycling industrial process) is around EUR 1 billion,” Damov Constantine, Green Group co-founder, told Mediafax.

On the long term, the group aims at increasing its production capacity of polyester synthetic fiber and at opening a new plant in Northwestern Romania, which will increase also the capacity of processing electrical and electronic equipment waste.

Green Group started in 2013 an investment program in infrastructure and logistics of selective waste pickup by installing some stations called Sigurec. So far, there have been installed 27 such units, following a total investment of EUR 14 million.

Green Group has an annual processing capacity of 95,000 tonnes of plastic material waste and a production capacity of 54,000 tonnes of PET flakes.

The group has five waste processing plants in Romania and approximately 3,000 employees.
