The turnover of Gral Medical group, a local provider of private healthcare services, rose 10 percent to EUR 18.2 million last year, supported by the oncology arm, alongside the laboratory division and medical imagery unit.
The group aims an organic growth of 20 percent in turnover, and plans to invest EUR 2 million, as part of multiannual investment budget of EUR 5.5 million.
Robert Serban, shareholder of Gral Medical, said: “I would like to see more medical centers keeping up with the investment rhythm of previous years, as the market would not develop without them, but I am aware the investment euphoria in the last years lead to an increased pressure, shaped as the fight with profit.”
The company said it signed a deal with oncology specialists at AKH Vienna that will provide medical consultations two weeks per month at the OncoFort Hospital. The unit was opened last year in Bucharest, following a EUR 7 million investment.
The healthcare group has over 24 clinic and laboratories, and 1,200 employees.
