Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari, the insurer controlled by Germany’s Gothaer Group, said its gross written premiums rose 75 percent to around EUR 15 million, while the number of customers doubled to over 52,000 in 2013 against the previous year.
The biggest share in its portfolio were represented by the Property&Engineering line with 42 percent, and by CASCO with 30 percent.

We are totally dedicated to the market and to this young company and we are glad that, after one year of activity, Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari has become and professional and competitive insurer.”
According to Anca Babaneata, CEO Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari, said the company has fully transformed its internal structure, including at the level of portfolios and of employees.
The German group has invested over EUR 12 million in the local insurer and plans to buy the remaining stake in the company.
Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari has a liquidity ratio over 250 percent and a solvency ratio above 170 percent.
