Google hit by 146,000 ‘right to be forgotten’ requests

In its latest Transparency Report, Google said it received a total of 146,938 requests to delete sensitive information from its search engine from Europeans.

In total, the total number of URL evaluated by Google amounted to 498,830.

From Romania, Google received a total of 2,677 requests. The total number of URL addresses for which Google received requests for elimination amounted to 9,283. 

The sites that were the most affected by these requests for eliminating sensitive information were Facebook, profileengine.com, YouTube.com, or badoo.com.

Germany was the European country wherefrom came most requests for eliminating data from the search engine. Google received 88,974 elimination requests from this country. Other countries wherefrom Google received numerous elimination requests were France, with 29,250 requests, Great Britain, with 18,597 requests, Spain, with 13,478 requests and Italy, with 11,512 requests.
