Google contest for children: redesign the Romanian National Day logo

“Doodle 4 Google” is the national competition that invites children to create a drawing themed “My Romania is …”. The winning drawing will appear on December 1, on Romanian National Day, when internet users will enter www.google.ro on their browsers.

For this competition, entry requirements are as follows: children aged between 6-14 years, who are going to primary or gymnasium school in Romania, entered by their parents or teachers into the competition, with only one drawing per person. The deadline for the contest is October 15. The artist that will be selected will win RON 15,000 while the other ten finalists will win tablets. Furthermore, the first five finalists’ schools will receive a technology grant of RON 20,000.

During the first stage of the contest Google Romania will select 250 drawings from which 30 will be selected by a jury. Those 30 drawings will remain in the contest and will be selected by the public through the Doodle 4 Google Romania website. The most appreciated one will be the grand winner. The public will vote between November 8-27 on www.google.ro/doodle4google website.
