Since its setup in 2005, the local subsidiary of the GEFCO Group has constantly grown. Last year the company had a number of 106 employees.

Also in 2014, the Finished Vehicles Logistics (FVL) activity, GEFCO’s core competence, reported an important increase, with the transportation of 155,000 vehicles. The FVL business line serves vehicle manufacturers, as well as car importers and distributors, offering a wide range of solutions, from simple transport schemes to optimized multimodal solutions.

The company continued last year its collaboration with IPSO, started in 2007, providing door-to-door transport for John Deere equipment from the German factory to Romania.

Furthermore, GEFCO Romania renewed its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for all its agencies. In addition, it extended its internship program for foreign students and joined the sustainable development project in Transalpina “Clean Waters and Mountains”, donating the cost of transportation.

As for the Group, GEFCO aims for 2015 to increase its market clients by 15 percent, develop business in and related to the 1520 zone and focus on Overseas, Warehousing and reusable packaging.

The Romanian subsidiary of the GEFCO Group celebrates a decade of activity in the country. GEFCO Romania is the 2nd biggest logistics operator by turnover and one of the most important suppliers for the local automotive industry.
