A number of 20 trainees, out of 950 applicants, have been selected by Garanti Bank to start their banking in a 4-month paid program designed to help them gain experience in the real business environment.

Through the program Learn 2B a Banker, the trainees will get an overall image of the banking activity with high focus on sales skills (retail, corporate, risk). According to aptitudes, they will be guided towards retail or SME. The program is structured in two modules, including basic concepts in banking and extensive knowledge in banking.

“The selection of the 20 young persons was made through a rigorous process that lasted several months. We are very happy with the chosen trainees and, at the same time, we thank them for choosing to be a part of the Garanti Bank team. We believe in their potential and want them to use their abilities, talent and enthusiasm to become real professionals”, stated Melania Jaravete, HR director of Garanti Group Romania.

Garanti has been collaborating with the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) since 2011, which has allowed 300 ASE students becoming trainees within the lender. A large share of them have become the bank’s employees.
