Garanti Bank launches donations section for NGOs

Garanti Bank has announced the integration in its internet banking platform of a special section dedicated to donations for non-for-profit and non-governmental organization

The new section, which is called Donations NGOs, allows individuals the option to transfer money to 10 selected NGOs that support social, education and environmental causes. The list of non-profits is set to be extended in the future.

Aside from the online banking platform, donations will shortly be active in whole network of 300 BancoSmart ATMs in Romania. The donations are free of bank fees and the money will be transferred directly into the NGO’s accounts.

The initial list of NGOs that have teamed up with Garanti Bank are: Daruieste Viata Association, Invingem Autismul Association, Ovidiuro Association, Scoala de Valori Association, Teach for Romania Association, WWF – Romania Association (World Wide Fund for Nature), Scheherezade Foundation, Hope and Homes for Children Romania Foundation, SOS Satele Copiilor Association and Viitor Plus – the association for sustainable development.

Garanti Bank Romania is part of the financial group Garanti Group, which also includes Garanti Leasing and Garanti Consumer Finance.
