French investor Alexandre Almajeanu takes over stake in Brandient

Investment fund Pontus Euxinus Venture controlled by French businessman of Romanian origin Alexandre Almajeanu has acquired an 11 percent stake in branding agency Brandient.

The agency founders Aneta Bogdan, Cristian ‘Kit’ Paul and Mihai Bogdan still own a majority stake of 78 percent in the agency, but Tatiana Malacopol has sold the equity that she had acquired in 2004.

According to his website, Almajeanu is co-founder of www.VoyagerMoinsCher.com, which he sold in 2007 to www.PriceMinister.com. He also is founder of The Gentica Foundation, which promotes entrepreneurship in Romania, and co-president of Club Horizons, a French non-profit organization that fosters social entrepreneurship projects, according to the same source.

His LinkedIn profile reveals a much longer list of investments. To name just a few, Almajeanu is co-founder in Polish venture ClickYourBrand.pl from September 2012 until the present, investor in Appnor MSP, an IT technology company, since September 2011 until the present, investor in Balaur.ro since October 2010 until the present, co-founder in Metropotam online publication since March 2006 until the present, and investor in eRepublik Labs Limited gaming company since January 2009.
