Free guided tours in Bucharest during summer weekends

Between July 26 and September 7, the Romanian Association for Culture, Education and Normality (ARCEN) invites people to discover the Romanian Capital with free, bilingual, walking tours.

The fifth edition of the project called “Cu bastonul prin Bucuresti” (With the cane in Bucharest) will be held every weekend in George Enescu Square, meeting point in front of Athenaeum from 11.00 on Saturdays and 18:00 on Sundays. The tours will offer historical details from the interwar period in Bucharest.

For this year, the organizers chose to talk about Bucharest’s 555 anniversary, offering a tour between Episcopiei – Știrbei Vodă – Calea Victoriei – Nicolae Krețulescu – George Enescu – str. Gen. Berthelot – Banului- Biserica Amzei- Christian Tell- Bdul Dacia- Henri Coandă- Nicolae Iorga streets.

The tours are free of charge, but organizers do encourage visitors to donate some money at the end of the tour.
