Romanian entrepreneur Daniel Guzu, the founder of construction materials companies Duraziv and Fabryo and owner of the Casa Panciu wine estate has launched a line of natural jams and fruit juices under the ‘Ana are’ brand.

“The launch of this brand is the result of sustained work and investments over the past years. This business has attracted numerous financial resources including EU funds but for me it is a passion and personal bet,” said Guzu.

The jams and fruit juices don’t contain additives or sweeteners and are produced using the facilities located on the Casa Panciu wine estate. The businessman says he has become more interested in natural products and environmental protection since starting investments in agriculture a few years ago and now intends to apply eco-friendly principles to all his businesses.

The food business is run through Natura srl, a company which last year reported a EUR 1 million turnover, twice than a year before. Over the past years the entrepreneur says he has invested more than EUR 10 million in the food business.

Guzu set up Duraziv and Natura after he sold the majority stake in dyes manufacturer Fabryo to Swedish investment fund Oresa Ventures. Duraziv reported last year sales worth EUR 18 million.
