Newsroom 18/03/2014 | 17:34

After 20 years, during which time it was closed, the airport servicing the city of Tulcea will be reopened in May for internal and international flights.

There will be at least three weekly flights according to the authorities:  Otopeni Tulcea, Tulcea Bergamo, Tulcea Frankfurt.

“Our landing strip is 2.000 meters long and it can accomodate Boeing, Airbus and C-Class planes as well as other planes of equal size”, according to airport director Constantin Albu.

The company directly responsible for the reopening is Romanian low-cost Carrier Fly Romania.

A Bucuresti-Tulcea airplane ticket will cost 50 euro and the offer is even better for flights to Germany or Italy: ticket prices start at EUR 29. The ticket price covers airport taxes, baggage and flight meals.
