Baneasa Drift Arena will be the first motor-sport complex in Romania, to be located between  Aurel Vlaicu airport and Ikea Baneasa. The first infrastructure and logistics equipment for the site were brought this Sunday.

The construction of the track will be done in three stages: the drift track will be the first module which the pilots will use, and it will be part of the international competitive track, the second stage consists of the “drag” track, 800 meters of trail, while the final stage will be the merging between the two tracks and the execution of the competitive track of almost 4500 meters, which will be designed for the international contests such as FIA GT, Formula 2 or Moto GP.

The first drifting competition will take place between April 6-7 with a contest between Romanian and Bulgarian pilots.
