Seven Romanian cultural landmarks are now on display in Google Cultural Institute, such as Brukenthal National Museum, National Peasant Museum, ASTRA Sibiu Museum as well as heritage works of Folclor fara frontiere Association, the Romanian Chamber of Architects, Pro Patrimonio Foundation and Wassertalbahn Foundation presenting Mocanita, the last of the Carpathian Forestry Railways.
Currently, over 800 Romanian pieces of art are displayed on the Google platform divided in three sections: art project, historic moments and world wonders. Furthermore, through Google Street View, people visit the three museums as if they were actually there.
Dan Bulucea, country manager Google Romania explained that several institutions have received invitations to promote their works of art on the platform, but some of them, without given names, declined the offer.
