The Finance minister, Ioana Petrescu, said on Tuesday that she doesn’t believe it is the Government’s responsibility to create new jobs. The Executive’s is charged with creating the proper context, a business environment that supports job creation.

“I don’t believe it is the Government’s duty to create jobs. I believe our responsibility is to create a stimulant frame, a business environment that encourages job creation and employment in the private sector. The Government I am part of is doing exactly that”, according to the finance minister.

Petrescu believes that the tax exemption on reinvested profit and the social contributions cut will have a beneficial effect on job growth.

“Both measures regarding lowering the fiscal burden on employment and exempting reinvested profit from taxes will have a beneficial effect on job creation and will encourage employment”, Ioana Petrescu argued.
