FestItalia to kick off in Bucharest

A miniature Italy will be brought to Bucharest in FestItalia event, by recreating typical Italian celebrations. The festival will take place in Herastrau park between September 12 and September 18.

On September 12, FestItalia will present the performance of the Italian folk group Terrasonora, from 20.30, while the next day the festival continues from 18.30 with a traditional Italian music and dance show organized by Ro.As.It, the Italians’ Association in Romania, which promotes the identity of ethnic Italians in Romania.

On September 14, 17.00, Parada association will stage the Paradise show, while at 20.30 the band Gruppo Musicale Artegiovane (in picture) will present the Europe past present and future event.

September 15 brings a circus show presented by Parada Romania foundation, affiliated to Parada Italia, followed by a classical music concert and “improvised” performances of anonymous musicians.

On Monday, September 16, jazz fans can enjoy a concert featuring famous melodies from traditional Italian music, performed in the swing and bossa-nova from 20.30.

FestItalia will continue on September 17 with the 60 years of Italian fashion history in a moonlight event, starting hour 20.00.

On the last day of the festival, Italian singer Marco Finotto will perform from 20.00.
