Ferrero Romania leases 1,200 sqm in Bucharest’s City Gate

The Romanian subsidiary of chocolate and sweets manufacturer Ferrero has relocated its Bucharest headquarter in the City Gate office project located in Presei Libere Square where it leased 1,200 sqm. The deal was brokered by BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Commenting on the evolution of the local office market,Luminita Necula, senior broker BNP Paribas Real Estate said the current demand comes almost exclusively from relocations. “Tenants are looking for a better balance between occupational costs and the quality of their accommodation. It is an opportunity for active tenants to secure quality offices in terms of location and technical specifications at comparative costs with their previous leases”, she explained.

City Gate covers 44,000 sq m of class A office space and includes other tenants such as Romtelecom, Microsoft, Millennium Bank and Eon. The project was developed by GTC Romania and was delivered in 2009.
