Building on the tradition of previous events in the series, Business Review is organizing the 7th edition of German & Austrian Investors Forum on February 8th, starting with 5:00 pm, at the Ramada Plaza Hotel.

This year’s edition will look at the German & Austrian business community through a hopeful lens, recognizing the positive signs regarding Romania’s political scene and recent economic as well as fiscal developments. Pairing these with other encouraging data from an AHK study, and in spite of the much-debated risk factors (such as the lack of qualified personnel and Labor Code amendments), we are confident this year’s edition of the German & Austrian Investors Forum is not to be missed by all businesses ready to learn from one of the best performing business communities worldwide.

Among speakers who will be present at the German & Austrian Investors Forum: HE Gerhard Reiweger, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bucharest, Rudolf Lukavsky, Commercial Counsellor, Advantage Austria, Sebastian Metz, General Manager, Romanian-German Chamber of Trade and Industry, Cristina Raiciu, Economic Officer, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Iulian Sorescu, Associated Partner, Head of Financial Department, Noerr Finance & Tax, Victor Cotrutz, CEO, Greentek and Laurentiu Lazar, Director Investment and Valuation Services, Colliers International Romania. The event will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Joerg K. Menzer, Managing Partner, Noerr.

The panel discussions will look at how recent developments influence companies looking to expand on the local market, Romania’s efficacy to attract more small and medium sized investors, the perception of German & Austrian investors regarding the fiscal measures enforced starting January 1, the financing options at hand for investors in Romania and whether state aid is a real tool for attracting more business, as well as what the demands of a new investor from a real estate point of view are. We will have a look at shared experiences, from new companies on the market and the advantages of investing in Romania but also success stories from Romanian companies that have achieved great accomplishments on foreign markets.

The forum invites private and public sectors to continue the dialogue and to find out what are the conclusions after years of presence on the market and what are the next steps in building upon this partnership.

The event will be followed by a networking cocktail gathering C-level decision makers, entrepreneurs as well as embassy representatives and providing great opportunities for business matchmaking. For more details about the program and invited speakers, please visit the dedicated website.
