Romanian cosmetics manufacturer Farmec has reported sales worth RON 28.9 million (approximately EUR 6.7 million) in the first quarter of 2013, up 9 percent y-o-y, the company has announced.

This year the manufacturer has relaunched the Farmec Natural product line and launched new hair-care products under the Gerovital Plant brand. Farmec also manufacturers house-care products under the Triumf and Nufarul brands for which it has invested in new packaging this year.

The company says it will continue to launch new products and expand existing product lines throughout 2013 and it will also invest in technological upgrades and expanding its own distribution network. Another development plan this year is to continue investing in exports especially in Central and Eastern Europe.

In 2012 the Farmec reported a RON 121 million (approximately EUR 28 million) turnover, up 10 percent y-o-y.
