Eximtur increases business by 9 pct in 2014

Eximtur, a travel agency founded in 1993, registered last year a turnover of EUR 40 million, up by 9 percent against 2013, out of which almost two thirds resulting from business travel and events services, the company announced on Monday, according to Mediafax.

The division of holidays and trips registered an increase of about 4 percent, while the incoming division increased by six times. The company, which brought in Romania tourists from Austria, Slovenia and the United Kingdom, paid taxes last year amounting more than EUR 1 million.

Success was registered last year by the business travel division,which was the most successful one, with an increase in revenues on this segment of 14 percent and more than 100.000 customers.

The business division, which won over 70 new clients, private companies and public institutions, has organized over 100 events during the past year.

Also the holidays division increased last year with about 4 percent, in the context in which sales for external travels went up by 6 percent and for domestic travels by 4 percent.
