Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 2.7 percent in September 2012, up from 2.6 percent in August, according to a flash estimate of Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
An analyze of the main components of euro area inflation shows that energy (9.2 percent compared with 8.9 percent in August) is expected to have the highest annual rate in September, followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (2.9 percent compared with 3.0 percent), services (2.0 percent compared with 1.8 percent) and non-energy industrial goods (0.8 percent compared with 1.1 percent).
