Eurolines business tripled during the crisis

Eurolines group registered a turnover of RON 98 million in the first quarter of the year, triple compared to the same period in 2009, writes economica.net.

Touring Europabus Romania is responsible for 80 percent of the turnover, the company that owns TUI TravelCenter and Eurolines. Touring Europabus Romania recorded a 48 percent turnover increase in Q1 2014, up to RON 77 million.

In the first three months of 2014, Touring Europabus recorded a 65 percent increase in tourist package sales through TUI TravelCenter and Eurolines, a 33 percent increase in plane ticket sales and a 31 percent increase in international transport tickets.

NovaTravel, the group’s touroperator, recorded a turnover of RON 6.5 million, up 25 percent on year.

“We will continue to focus on growing our online business, developing our technology, improving our sales service and post-sale services. Romanians are growing more and more picky and they prefer quality products and services, which we are dedicated to offer our clients. Q1 2014 results confirm the fact that our objective of 20 percent growth in 2014 is realistic”, according to Dragos Atanasiu, president of Eurolines Romania.
