Environment Ministry to spend EUR 77 mln on flood-prevention IT system

Dimar SRL, Expert One Research, Rokura and UTI Group will develop an electronic system capable of preventing and reducing flood damage for the Environment Ministry. The value of the contract is RON 341.8 million, including VAT (EUR 77 million).

The association between the four companies won the auction that was announced on October 2013 on e-licitatie.ro.

“WATMAN – The Informational System for Integrated Water Management” is financed through European Funds and aims to prevent and reduce the destructive consequences of flooding.

“The necessary infrastructure technology and equipment will be installed in specific locations throughout the entire country, in the river basins of Somes-Tisa, Cris rivers, Mures, Banat, Jiu, olt, Arges-Vedea, Buzau-Ialomita, Siret, Prut – Barlad, Dobrogea Litoral”, according to the announcement.
