Entrepreneur Marius Ghenea joins 3TS Capital team

Romanian entrepreneur Marius Ghenea has joined the 3TS Capital team as senior adviser, with the mission to expand the technology investment portfolio of the private equity fund, according to Wall-Street.ro

Ghenea will be in charge with the investment strategy of local private equity and venture capital fund Catalyst Romania, but at the same time will offer consultancy for 3TS CEE Fund III.

“I will look for the best IT projects to build an investment portfolio as consistent and valuable as possible in the technology area. We are especially looking at the TMT area, especially IT, software development and internet of things. We are encouraging original and scalable projects, so that we have proposed to sign three or four investments in 2015,” said Marius Ghenea for the publication.

Catalyst Romania is a first private equity fund dedicated to Romania, financed especially by the European Investment Fund (FEI) via the JEREMIE initiatve, as part of the Increase of Economic Competitiveness Sectoral Operational Programme. 

Catalyst Romania finances with investments betwen EUR 200,000 and EUR 2 million local SMEs especially in the TMT area. The fund is managed by 3TS Capital Partners, one of the most important private equity and venture capital companies in Central and Eastern Europe.
