Elmec Romania, a subsidiary of Follie Follie Greece (FF Group) and owner of the Nike brand on the local market, changed its name to FF Group Romania and announced it will start its own online stores, as well as new openings of physical stores.

“The new identity is a natural evolution for our company, given that we’re part of the Follie Follie group. Planning and structure remain the same, and all our operations in Romania will be under the name of FF Group Romania. In a short time we will launch the website ffgroup.ro”, says Cristian Beznoska, executive director of FF Group Romania.

One of the most important projects currently in development for the company is remodeling and refurbishing the building it owns downtown, on Ion Campineanu street, and transforming it into a retail centre. The project will be completed by the beginning of 2015 and its represents a EUR 5mln investment.

“In parallel, we are planning new openings and renovations, in the shopping malls of Bucharest. These projects are part of the company’s strategy regarding development and consolidation on the Romanian market. It is important for us that, in spite of an unstable economic climate, we managed to identify market oportunities and to maximize our potential. We are also preparing the launch of our e-commerce platform in the second half of 2014”, says Beznoska.

The company, present on the local market since 1999, manages a network of stores in all the major cities of the country, owning 19 monobrand units, 7 multibrand and 3 outlets. It is one of the most important national distributors for sportswear and fashion, with 370 employees.
