According to a conjuncture survey released by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), managers of enterprises foresee an economic increase in most activity areas between June and August 2015.

The study conducted in June anticipates a moderate increase of about seven percent in the manufacturing industry and in the services area, going up by some ten percent. Constructions will know an increase in production volume (18 percent), while retail is expected to have the biggest growth, of up to 48 percent.

Prices are expected to maintain the same level in most areas, except for retail, which will know a slight decrease by 11 percent during this period.

An increase is also expected in the number of employees, with constructions reaching the highest levels of inflation of 12 percent.

The results presented in the study were obtained through conjuncture surveys, based on the estimations of enterprises on trends of economic activity development.

These are qualitative surveys, looking to analyze the trend in evolving economic indicators for a short and medium term. Specific to conjuncture surveys is that instead of exact figures, responders usually offer an appreciation of the level of a phenomenon (above normal / normal / below normal) or its evolution in time (increased / the same / decreased). The result is obtained by the difference between the positive and negative answers, expressed in percent.
