Discovery launches first online store in Romania

Discovery announced the launch of its first online store in Romania, shop.discovery.ro, where fans of Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet can acquire original products.

The platform was launched following a partnership between Discovery Enterprises International (DEI) and 2BCOM Think Team, which develops and runs the online store under the DEI license.

The online store is integrated in the Discovery website and includes different ranges of products inspired from the programs broadcast on Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet, including gadgets, equipment for outdoor activities, books or DVDs, toys, cooking tools and so on.

“The new online store helps us expand the relation with fans, being at the same time an important element in our digital portfolio which includes local websites for Discovery Channel and TLC, Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as a dedicated YouTube channel,” said Vlad Tudosie, country manager South-Eastern Europe at Discovery Networks CEEMEA.

The online store can be accessed on a dedicated tab on Discovery Romania’s Facebook page, which has at the moment 680,000 fans.
